Ivanka Trump will probably 'have a shot at the presidency'

Curtin University Professor Joe Siracusa says Ivanka Trump “at the very least” will run for governor and would probably have a “shot at the presidency”.

It comes amid rumours Donald Trump’s Daughter, Ivanka, may decide to run against Republican Senator Marco Rubio for the seat of Florida.

“When president Trump said very coyly… ‘we’ll be back in some way’, what he meant was, one of the kids will be back if he doesn’t come back,” Mr Siracusa said.

“Look, at 74 years old, he may not have enough energy or good health to go all the way, but he’s got lots of children who are ambitious and close to the throne.

"America right now is experiencing all these family dynasties.

“These family dynasties appeal to America these days and Ivanka has a good chance.

“She’s a killer on the stumps, she can give a political speech as well as anyone else.”
